Lecturer Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of schemes of work and lesson plans to capture course content and coverage of the syllabus.
  2. Develop training materials and standardization of training content according to the different functionality areas
  3. Teach students in the area of specialization to impact skills and knowledge in the hospitality and tourism industry
  4. Setting, moderating and administration of examinations in accordance with the defined school standards to facilitate the evaluation of students’ performance
  5. Preparation of academic reports for classes and units taught according to procedures to ensure academic standards are maintained
  6. Ensuring class attendance for all students as scheduled
  7. Mentoring students in both academic and non-academic matters to produce holistic individuals fit to work in the hospitality and tourism industry
  8. Supervising student projects in liaison with appointed industry supervisor to ensure efficient on the job learning for successful completion of their course.
  9. Participating in class tutorship to create a good rapport with students and monitor student progress
  10. Planning for and accompany students on field trips to facilitate a more interactive learning tool for the students.


  1. Degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized institution
  2. Certificate in pedagogic skills
  3. Five (5) years working experience in a comparable position from a reputable organization
