Lecturer Responsibilities
- Preparation of schemes of work and lesson plans to capture course content and coverage of the syllabus.
- Develop training materials and standardization of training content according to the different functionality areas
- Teach students in the area of specialization to impact skills and knowledge in the hospitality and tourism industry
- Setting, moderating and administration of examinations in accordance with the defined school standards to facilitate the evaluation of students’ performance
- Preparation of academic reports for classes and units taught according to procedures to ensure academic standards are maintained
- Ensuring class attendance for all students as scheduled
- Mentoring students in both academic and non-academic matters to produce holistic individuals fit to work in the hospitality and tourism industry
- Supervising student projects in liaison with appointed industry supervisor to ensure efficient on the job learning for successful completion of their course.
- Participating in class tutorship to create a good rapport with students and monitor student progress
- Planning for and accompany students on field trips to facilitate a more interactive learning tool for the students.
